Simple Crochet Fingerless Gloves

Simple Crochet Fingerless Gloves

We don’t want to think about it but winter is right around the corner, at least where I live. The joke that goes around is that it will be snowing in 3 weeks. In Maine most of us have been thinking about winter sense last winter. Like Christmas it is something that is always on our minds. That is why I keep crocheting and knitting hats, scarves and gloves. This pattern I am sharing is more for…

A Fun Weekend

The past month I had been anxiously awaiting the Aurora Music Festival hosted at Fetherfoot Farms (websites here and here). We were lucky enough to be one of the vendors. While it is hard to sell knit and crochet items in 85 degree weather we had a blast. DSC00660 DSC00663

The landscape was very pretty.DSC00664 And there was a brick pizza oven. When you pay to get in you get free pizza all day long! It was awesomeDSC00675 DSC00676 DSC00678 DSC00680

I’m Back

I’m Back

This is just a quick note to let you all know on Wednesday there will be a large update. Possibly 2 if I have the momentum. With work winding down it is time to get this blog rolling again, along with my etsy store, and some other things I have in the works.

Has it really been that long?

Has it really been that long?

Wow, that is about all I can say. Time is flying past me that I can honestly say that it feels like I posted here last week. In reality though it has been two, possibly over if I schedule this one to come out later.

I must admit I thought that I would have more time for this during work but juggling my schedule has been incredibly difficult. It has been a test of my skills with handling change,…

Exercise the writing muscle every day, even if it is only a letter, notes, a title list, a character sketch, a journal entry. Writers are like dancers, like athletes. Without that exercise, the muscles seize up.

If this is the case I guess I do write every day, I’m always writing long emails (for work or to friends) or jotting down thoughts or bits of stories or editing or writing posts on here. Why do we beat ourselves up for doing anything but writing new words of a story?

I do this with writing and drawing, slowly I see improvement.

Its Been a While

Its Been a While

So finally I am updating the blog, and I have be busy. Finding time to keep an internet presence has been one of the many challenges I am facing. Ever so slowly I am figuring them all out. It is keeping my summer fun.

Right now instead of coming up with my own pattern I am making this. It is a fun little beret. I am also doing something new on tumblr. Right now my tumblr is mostly to promote this…

Birthdays, Yoga, and July

Birthdays, Yoga, and July

In a few days I will be turning 26. I don’t really enjoy celebrating my birthday much. It is not because I am turning a year older, but more because I don’t really like being the center of attention. I am the type of person that likes to stand at the edge o the crowd, and I don’t see anything wrong with that.

New Routines

I managed to see my doctor today, and it is going to be a up in my medication. It’s something I am used to. I always just wish that it didn’t have to happen. Side effects can suck.

On the topic of side effects I also talked about what type of exercises I can do while on a med that causes you to overheat and dehydrate. It is looking like walking and yoga might be the two big ones I do the most. So…
